The F Fund is a bond-index tracking fund and involves government, corporate, and mortgage-backed bond investments.
The objective of the F Fund is to match the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond. As interest rates change, the bonds that are in the fund go up and down. There is a negative correlation between the F Fund and interest rates which means that if interest rates go up bond value drops and vice versa. The F Fund carries market risk, credit risk, prepayment risk, and inflation risk but is still considered a low to moderate investment risk.
